10 Years

January 6th was the 10 year anniversary of the death of my Grandpa Clawson...John R. "Jack" Clawson. He was such a sweet and fun grandpa, we sure do miss him!
My dad and Susan, and me and Kadence went up to visit Grandma and to visit Grandpa's grave.
We don't get to see her much since she lives far away, but Kadence knows Grandma Clawson is special and enjoys being with her. Grandma has MS and struggles a little with walking and talking, but she is managing to stay independent in her home with lots of help from all of "the sisters," my dad has 5 sisters and 4 live right by Grandma.
Kadence, posing in front of Grandpa's head stone, she never met him, but she would have loved him! She gets a little glimpse at what he was like because my dad has a lot of his same characteristics and reminds me so much of grandpa.

We had a nice day of visiting...when we got in the car to drive home, Kadence asked my dad what he thought Grandma Clawson was doing now that we left. My dad told her that she was probably taking a nap, and Kadence said, "I just worry about her." It's amazing how perceptive and caring children are! We are so grateful we got to spend a day with Grandma, we love her so much!

Oh Tyson is going to love these pictures. He's been talking about your grandpa a lot lately and how it's been 10 years since he passed. He always says how much I would have loved him, and I believe it! Especially hearing how much everyone else says the same thing. I'm glad you guys had a good time!
