Radio City Rockettes Christmas Show

The Rockettes came to SLC last weekend and we were able to go, thanks to my generous mother-in-law. Annette, Alexis, Avery, Kadence, and I headed down to the Maverik Center Friday night for the show. It was awesome! I absolutely loved it, great way to kick off the Christmas season. Those girls are gorgeous, and man can they kick! The little girlies were in Heaven, we sat in the very front row and their eyes and mouths were wide open the whole time. I was nervous about Kadence sitting through a 90 minute show, but she was in awe. I think her favorite part was "Christmas," a.k.a...Santa Claus. She thinks his name is Christmas, so funny.

Miss Avery looked adorable!
Kadie Bug...
I can't ever get this little girl to smile in these pictures, but here we are waiting for the show to start.

See what I mean about wide eyed...she didn't take her eyes off the stage.
The famous kick line
They did their own version of the Nutcracker, with teddy bears.
Falling soldiers, these girls have such precision, amazing.
The full size two level bus...
The girls had fun playing in the "Snow"that was all over the floor.

Alexis and Avery
Nana and her girls
We went to P.F. Changs after the show, so yummy as usual.
I really hope that the Rockettes come back every year, it would be a fun new tradition!

Yahoo for 50 FREE Christmas Photo Cards from Shutterfly!!

I am so excited about this awesome promotion Shutterfly is running. Go to this link and find out how to get 50 free Christmas Cards...http://bit.ly/sfly2010 Who doesn't love free stuff, and especially around Christmas?!
Shutterfly is a wonderful company...I've used them for all of my photo projects in the past. My wedding book, Kadence's birth announcement, and both of her birthdays. Every year for Christmas we get my grandma a calendar full of pictures of all of her great grandkids, she loves it. I'm so excited I found a Christmas Card that I love, and captured a decent picture of our family of three to go with it. Check out these links for great ideas...

Hair Color, Shingles, Red Nails, and Snow

If you've ever wondered where Kadence gets her blond hair from...obviously, it's from her daddy. It looks like the exact same color...
She was having fun playing "hide!" with the pillows.
Kadence broke out in a weird, blistery, bumpy rash on her knee so I took her to the Dr. and it is SHINGLES...yuck! She had her chicken pock vaccine but she was unknowingly exposed to shingles while she was sick, and I guess because her immune system was stressed, she caught it. Poor girl, it seems to be pretty painful. We were instructed to apply a steroid cream twice a day and it should clear up within a week. So...since we've been staying in the house we've been getting a little bored! We decided it would be fun to paint our nails red and then do a photo shoot! It was fun, I got a ton of pictures..I was giving her some pose ideas, she seemed to like the surprised look the best...

Big hug...
The apparent "HuGe" snow storm from last night ended up only lasting a couple of hours. So when the snow slowed and the wind stopped, we went outside to play. Kadence loved the snow, she was so happy.

She wanted to make a snowman (she's obsessed with the good old Frosty movie, love it). There wasn't enough snow for a big one, but her dad helped her make this mini version.
That's all for now...hope everyone has a happy and safe Thanksgiving!!

A Birthday Party-Cupcake Style

Kadence's birthday was last Wednesday, Nov. 10th...we kicked off the celebrating with streamers and balloons all over the house when the birthday girl woke up. She was loving it.
Wow...balloons. I wish my hair looked this cute when I first woke up...

For breakfast, Chocolate Chip Mickey Mouse Pancakes
Yum...
The day was a little shaky, Kadence and I were both really sick and she was running a fever. Poor girl, I felt so bad that she didn't feel good on her big day. So if she looks a little red around the eyes in the pictures, that's why.

Her Daddy gave her a little birthday money for her "Money Pig" before we headed off to the party.
We had the party at Vintage Cupcake on 24th St. in Ogden, such a cute place, and perfect because all I had to do is show up and they took care of the rest, nice!
The mini cupcakes, very tasty!
The place is full of girly vintage stuff, so cute.
The party favors for the kids...full of everything they'd need to make cupcakes.
Kadence was in absolute Heaven! She was so excited when her cousins started showing up, she was running around yelling, "cupcakes!"
The kiddos got to decorate their own cupcakes.
Bridger was at the party...love Avery's face in the background, doesn't she look like a little proud momma!
Uncle Scott did a little decorating himself...
Kadence approved of his frosting choice.
Look at all those gifts, one spoiled little 2 yr old!
After melting to the floor in tears from everyone singing happy birthday to her, she found the courage to blow out the 2 candles.
Little Mady was there...
Kadence had lots of help opening her gifts from her cousins.
Look at this little girls eyelashes, she's blessed.
After gifts, Kadence handed out the party favors to her cousins.
These next two pictures are the only ones I got of the 3 of us, not the best, but at least I documented =)

By the end of the party, Kadence was pooped...she climbed up on this swing and said, "Night Night!"
Thanks to everyone who came and helped us celebrate our little girl turn 2...we had a blast!

~Happy Halloween~

Kadence was a "Jr. Miss Rodeo USA 2010" this year for Halloween. My ever talented mother-in-law made her costume again, she does such a great job!

She absolutely refused to wear her cowgirl hat with her crown and long blond curly locks, so I had to curl her hair...it turned out looking a little Farrah Fawcett-ish...
We went to my dad's the Sunday before Halloween for a birthday/Halloween party...this is all the kids dressed up.
Kadence (without the hat), Kobe-wearwolf, Gage-Garden Nome, Kylee-witch, Mady-Kitty
On Saturday we went up to Morgan to party and go trick-or-treating. Annette went all out and threw a great party.

The kids table
Adam and I were Rodeo Clowns to keep with the Rodeo theme..
The food, it was all so yummy!
The always entertaining witches brew
Aric and Cami were Semi-Pro people...fabulous!
Rodeo Clowns
Gorgeous Flapper Girls
Drum Roll...she has the hat on! As soon as we headed out the door to trick-or-treat, Adam snuck it on her head and she left it on for the rest of the night. Little stinker, I guess she just knew when it really mattered to be in full costume. It seriously made my night!
This is the only picture I got of the whole gangster/flapper girl family...Alexis is in the background, Brogan, Avery, Ben, and Bridger. Bridger was a little bag of money...they looked so cute all together!
Trick-or-treating, Kadence picked right up on it.
She was such a trooper and stuck it out through the rain, we were soaked after about 6 houses.
The rodeo queen and her clowns...
Checking out the goods...
Then it was time to eat! Nothing like warm chili on a cold Halloween night.
Three of them, minus Brogan and Av...I loved Bridger's costume, cutest bag of money I've ever seen.
He is such a good baby...love him!
Alexis and Annette had on some awesome eye lashes, they are a little hard to see, but I tried to get a good picture of them.
We had so much fun, thanks for the fun party Nana!!
