Mady St. Patty turned 2

My darling little niece Mady had her 2nd birthday on St. Patricks day. She's such a little sweetheart. We went over for cake and ice cream and we all wore GREEN for the occasion.
She has super cute curly hair.
The 3 kiddos...they are all 2 at this point. TROUBLE! They play so well together.
We had a great time, we love you little Mady!

Park Day

Last weekend we went on a walk down to where our house is being built, it's only 2 miles away from my mom's house. They have a nice little park in our subdivision so we played for a while.

I thought that Kadence was brave for going down this slide, it's pretty steep for a little girl!
I think she looks like a little model here...
My attempt at a family picture...
Tickles from daddy.
She loves running around, she was in Heaven.
Okay...so the walk down the toll road hill was a breeze, can't say the same for the walk back up. I seriously had shin splints the next morning.

We stopped to say hello to the horses.
Kadence got a little nervous when her daddy pushed her too close for comfort to the horse.
It was such a fun morning, I love long walks!

Kadie Bug

Just another post about Kadence...hope you all are as interested in her as her mommy is!
While Kadence was with grandma and grandpa at the ranch for 4 days, we decided to switch her crib to a toddler bed. She was very excited when she came home and saw it. She said, "daddy, the gate is gone!" The excitement quickly wore off when it took 2 hours to get her to stay in her bed that night.
It's been 2 weeks since then and she's finally staying in her bed...she was just so confused about why she should stay in there if she can so easily get out. It is a little creepy and startling when in the middle of the dark night a little voice, right by your face whispers, "mommy, I up."
Oh, aren't they so sweet when they are sleeping?
This is how we went to Wal-Mart the other day, pretty sure we'll end up on one of those crazy people at Wal-Mart websites. Pink uggs, leggings, bright yellow Dora shirt, topped off with a rodeo queen hat with a wig attached, Classic!
These are just some pictures I took, I loved her hair, her shirt, and her new spring sandals that grandma bought her...
Her new signature pose, alla cousin Avery with a little twist, could she stick that hip out any further?! (does anyone know why the text is underlined sometimes???? Drives me crazy and I don't know how or why it does it.)
She was so over the photo shoot, and just wanted to get going to Nana and Papa's house, how quickly the mood changes with her.

Great Great Grandma's Furniture

My mom inherited her grandma's furniture when she passed away at 91 years old. She has had it in storage for a while and I asked her if we could refinish it and use it for Kadence's room in the new house, and she said yes! I love that there is history to it, my great grandma bought it for her daughter's to use (my grandma and her sisters), and now Kadence will be using it. So it is Kadence's great, great grandmas furniture, so cool.

before...

after...
I want Kadence's room to be shabby chic and yellow reminds me of her. We used "Picking Daisies Yellow," sprayed it with a high gloss lacquer, and added these adorable crystal flower knobs. There is a cute little bench that goes in front of the vanity, but I need to recover the cushion for it.
Now I need to decide on some bedding, I've got my eye on some from Pottery Barn Kids, just waiting for it to maybe go on sale.
Kadence loves it! Every time someone comes over to the house, she drags them down to the basement to show them her "yellow bedroom."

Weekend with G-ma and G-pa and Great G-ma and G-pa

My mom, Brent, Grandma, and Grandpa all took Kadence up to the ranch for a 4 day weekend, she needed a vacation from us, and we needed one from her. I cried when she left and I told her, "mommy won't see you for 4 days, give me a hug," and she replied, "I need to go see the cows, I see the horses mom." She loves it up there, to say the least. Adam and I had a lot of fun together while she was gone, but we were so so so excited to see her when she came home! Thanks mom and Brent and Grandma and Grandpa for taking her, she was so spoiled by her two sets of grandparents!

They fed the kitties...
She got to see the 1st calf born this year.
Kadence and "G.G." She has a crazy hat that looks like a bear, Kadence thought she was funny.
Posing with the baby calf, who is hiding behind the hay.
Look how big the snow drifts are, bigger than Kadence!
They visited Apple, Luke, and Buck
Made some snow angels...
and went for a sleigh ride. They pulled her all the way out the lane to the main road and on the way back she fell asleep, so they just layed her down on the sled and she slept the rest of the way back! She was worn out!

Copy Cat

Kadence is my little copy cat, she does everything I do. The other day, after a new very challenging work out, I was walking up the stairs and couldn't make it so I took a break to catch my breath, look who else needed a break...
Love her!
