Poor Kadence...

Kadence had her two month well baby check up, I can't believe she's two months old!! She weighs 11.35 lbs. and is 23 inches long, both of which are in the 90th percentile, she's a big girl! The dr. said everything looked right on target, except for when she looked in Kadence's ears. The dr. asked us if she has been fussy, which she has, but I just thought she needed to poop. Turns out she has an ear infection! Oh, I feel so bad! How long has she been in pain, we don't know? The dr. said since she seemed happy and content during her visit, that it probably hasn't been that bad for her. So we filled the Rx, and I'm hoping she feels better in a couple of days. Good news is she can take Tylenol now, so hopefully that will help. Oh, and she had to get her shots, so sad! I cried as much as she did. I didn't watch, but that scream was like nothing I've heard from her before, heartbreaking. She seems much better this morning though, very happy and content! Now I'm afraid to take those band aids off her thighs, that's going to hurt to!

Girls Weekend!

Every January my mom, one of my aunts, my grandma, and I celebrate our birthdays together, but this year my other aunt Jashelle felt left out, and flew in from Las Vegas to help us party. Unfortunately I didn't pull out my camera until Sunday, but the festivities started Friday. My mom, Kadence, and I went down to Salt Lake to pick up Jashelle from the airport and then we went to my FAVORITE restaurant, PF Changs, yummy! We ate so much food, including Lettuce Wraps, Crispy Honey Shrimp, Changs Spicy Chicken, and Almond Cashew Chicken, I highly recommend trying these if you haven't yet. When we got back into Ogden, we went up to Weber State to see my aunt Janica's Art that made it into the art show, good job Janica! She painted two big portraits of her kids, Shay and Alli. I really think her art was some of the best, what some people consider art these days is a little strange, example: Somebody colored red hair and big red lips on the one dollar bill to make George Washington look like Ronald McDonald, and he named the piece, George McDonald, What the?!?...anyway, isn't that illegal? Saturday morning the five of us went to get pedicures at my work, Mindful Women, so relaxing! Then off to eat more at Olive Garden, oh, maybe this is my favorite restaurant... And finally, Sunday, we headed out to KOHL'S, but not before eating again, this time at Applebee's, not one of my favorites, but still pretty good. There were 8 of us, including Kadence (who slept through the whole trip, except to wake and nurse once in the dressing room) and Meagan, who you can't see because she took the picture, thanks Meg! We spent about 3 hours at KOHL'S shopping, I swear we scoured every department. They have awesome sales!...I bought 8 items for $82. Anyway, I had an amazing weekend, it's so nice to have some quality girl time once in a while, filled with eating, shopping, spa, more eating, loved it! Oh, and thanks to my amazingly patient husband Adam, he was so great to let me just come and go as I pleased, and he watched Kadence two times for me, I love you babe!

My aunt Jashelle, Me and Kadence, my great aunt Eva, my Grandma Marilyn, my mom's cousin MarVan, and my mom. (This is the clan that went to KOHL'S.)
I did get a picture of Meagan, she's on the left.

Still Here...

We are still here, just haven't been able to, or haven't felt like making a post lately. Little Kadence takes up a lot of time, surprisingly! ;) When I have a free minute, I spend that time showering, catching up on laundry, cleaning, or making phone calls. Blogging has kind of been put on the back burner. But...I for sure want to stay on top of it! So here's some pictures to catch you all up. There's some from our fun "Ugly Christmas Sweater Party," and Christmas morning. I hope you all had a great holiday!

Notice Adam's Dickie under his white shirt, very ala Uncle Eddie in Christmas Vacation, loved it!

Kadence even dressed up for the Ugly Sweater Party, too bad I didn't get a picture of her where you can see it though!

Avery looked so cute in her red velvet with ribbon pin!

Brogan had a fabulous outfit, complete with short pants that showed off his socks with flashing lights and a sweater with American Flags on it?!

Annette looked awesome in her sweater vest that she attached little colored pom poms to.

This is my brother Scott with his adorable girlfriend Meagan, love her!

And the winner....Alexis! Our Ugly Sweater Party was a contest, and Alexis won by a long shot. Isn't she flashy?!

Can you find the baby next to all that stuff? Kadence had a good first Christmas, she slept through her dad and I opening all of her gifts.

This is my attempt at getting a family photo Christmas morning, pretty good photographer, huh?

This is Kadence and her cousin Gage who is a month older than her. Doesn't she look like she's as long, or longer than him? I think she's going to be tall.

Kadence loves her new swing, thanks Grandma Jaimie!!
