My Man the Mason

I'm just taking a post to brag about my hubs and his masonry skills. He's worked for a fireplace company for 6 years and in the past year or so he's been doing a lot of the mason work. This is his parent's new house...
The fireplace in the master bedroom...
He built this fire pit and stoned it...
The basement family room...
And he built and stoned their mailbox, haven't got a picture of that yet. Don't you think he does a good job? I sure think he's fantastic. So...If you want to add any stone to your home, let me know ;-)

Weekend full of Fathers

We celebrated Father's day all weekend. Just wanted to give a shout out to all the dads in my life...they are all amazing and I love them so much!!!
I worked Saturday morning so Adam took Kadence to the Terrace Days Parade that went along the road right in front of our house. She loved it and got a HuGe bag full of candy. Those are the Lakette's she's looking at...maybe she'll follow in her momma's footsteps and be a Lakette herself one day! Oh, p.s...her daddy did her hair. Pretty good, huh?

That evening we went up to Morgan to celebrate with Adam's dad Andy.
Avery is doing her signature pose to show off the fire pit Adam built for his parent's patio.
Andy, checking out the beautiful new grill he got.
We roasted marshmallows, yummy!
Sunday we went to my dad's...had to get a picture of some of the grandkids on the infamous bridge. Gage, Kadence, and Mady
Grandpa with his kiddos.
Monday night we celebrated with Grandpa Brent but I didn't take any pictures. So I found one with him and some of his grandkids.

*3 Years and Going Strong*

Adam and I celebrated our 3rd anniversary last Wednesday. It was my year to plan our date night, I started it out with 80 minute couples massages and followed that with yummy food from The Melting Pot.

I thought this fabulous chocolate (white and milk) deserved a mention...delicious!
I just want to thank Adam from the bottom of my heart for giving me a wonderful husband and a beautiful little girl...Love you xoxo

VEGAS Baby!

So I went to VEGAS this past weekend with my girlfriends for Kelli's Bachelorette Party. We stayed at the Planet Hollywood. It was a ton of fun, loved it!

We spent a lot of time soaking up the 106 degree sun at the pool...it was hot!

Rachel came in from Denver, I love the time I get to spend with her.

The whole group, Brooke, Rachel, Shannon, Darci, Kelli, Cassie, Me
The first night we went to LAVO at the Palazzo, yummy Italian food! There is a club on top of the restaurant, we went up after dinner and danced our bums off!
Nicky Hilton hung out with her friends right next to us. I know she's not really famous for anything, but I was a little bit star struck.
There she is again on the left...she seemed nice.
Cute Darci and Cassie...We ate outside on the terrace right on the strip, so cool.
The second night we ordered up PF Changs room service while we got ready, by far the BeSt room service I've ever had, delicious! Then we headed to XS at Encore, AMAZING, look it up if you're bored. I have never been in a night club that compares. It's huge, has a full size pool in it, a casino, crazy.
Guess who was there, the other Hilton sister, Paris... She's a mess, that's all I have to say about her.

I had a blast, thanks girls! I'm so happy to be back home with my family though...Adam is awesome to stay home and take care of Kadence and let me go have fun. I know they had fun together, he's such a great daddy :-)

*Hello Summer*

Kadence and I ventured out to the pool for the 1st time this summer yesterday. She's still the little fish that she was last year, only now she's mobile, and FAST! Looks like I'm not in for any laying out and reading magazines, just following her from pool to pool.

She was in Heaven
We took many snack breaks, fyi...don't leave your food out in the open, a bird stole half of our slice of pizza!
She loved kicking her feet in the water, and she made sure I was doing it right along with her. She's so bossy, the girl knows what she wants.
There were like 15 other people there, so she had the place to herself to explore.
I had so much fun with just the 2 of us, she's my sweetheart.
I'm so looking forward to the many playdates at this pool, bring it on!

Another Successful Branding Weekend

We went up to the ranch for Memorial Day Weekend for Branding 2010. Kadence had a bit of a cold, but other than that it was a good weekend. There were 25 people all together that stayed the whole weekend. It was crazy but fun!

Kadence loves the "Neigh-Neigh's" (horses).
Feeding Luke
It was a little chilly with the wind, that's why we're all bundled up.

Kadence had a blast with the other 12 grandkids, this is little Sawyer, he's such a cutie, and always happy!
Roundin' up the 100+ cows
Going to check out what exactly they were doing to the cows...
Oh no...she didn't like it one bit! I think she got a little scared watching the calves get snipped, vaccinated, and branded. A little traumatic for a 18 month old!
Adam's job was to get the calves from the corral, and down this chute where they were clamped down tight so the other guys could do the branding and such. There were some BiG calves and a couple times Adam was trying to scare them down the chute and the thing would back up! He'd have to basically ride them into the clamp. It was funny to watch. In the past they have done the branding the good ol' fashioned way, with ropers. The boys would tackle the calve to the ground and hold them down, but this year they didn't have the ropers, so the boring way is what had to be done ;-)

Kadence and Emery ate together...aren't they so cute?

That's it, until next weekend when they have to do the other 100 cows. Good times.
