The Latest...

First off, my step-sister Kallie and her husband Tim just welcomed their first baby into their lives on Friday, Sept. 19th. His name is Gage, and he's such a cutie! He's got so much dark hair and perfect little features. He seems so little, when we went to visit him at home, he was in preemie clothes! We're so excited that Gage and Kadence will only be a couple months apart so they can play together and be buddies. Congrats Kallie and Tim!!!!
Second, my friend Tara (on the left) came home to Ogden to visit Wednesday night, wahoo! She moved to Huntington Beach, California last spring. She works at NORDSTROM as the assistant manager of the TBD department, and she LoVes it! I have missed being able to see her. It was so fun to hang out and catch up with her and Megan for a couple of hours. Oh, and I don't know if any of you are The Hills fans, but we are! Tara was taking a tour of FIDM, where Lauren Conrad attends fashion school, and she saw Lauren and Stephanie eating lunch while they were filming the show, so cool! It was good to see you Tara, love ya and miss you girl!!!!

We Go WaY BaCk!!!

I've been meaning to make this post for a month now, but I'm just getting around to it. This August 15th marked our 8 years of being together! Adam and I started dating right before 9th grade, and we have had some amazing (and some not so amazing) times. I am so grateful our love was strong enough to make it through the drama of high school! We've been there for each other through so many things, like graduating, divorce of parents, college, etc... We went from being too nervous to even talk to each other in 8th grade, to being married and starting our family together. Here are some fun pictures of our past...I love you babe!

This was our very first high school dance together, Homecoming sophomore year. We look so young! I remember being way excited to go to a dance with Adam.

Skiing in Targhee, with my family.

Deer Hunt dance our junior year, I think this was the beginning of Adam's obsession with camouflage!

I would go visit Adam at CEU in Price, while I was there, I would do ALL of his laundry for him, and clean his room. Look at that pile of dirty clothes!

I missed Adam so much while he was playing baseball at UVSC and CEU...I would go see him every chance I got.

When I first met Adam in 7th grade, I thought he looked like the Zack Morris, surfer dude type, doesn't look like I was too far off. Isn't my husband gorgeous?!?

During one of our camping trips with Adam's family, we were all sitting around the fire roasting marshmallows. Adam set his on fire, and asked us if we wanted to see a flying flaming marshmallow... we said sure. He winged it up in the air, and we all looked behind us, waiting to see where it would land. All of the sudden, PLOP, it landed right on top of my head! It had gone straight up, and straight back down. We all laughed so hard that our stomachs hurt! It was all gooey and stuck in my hair. Adam had the nerve to say, "oh, I'm glad it didn't land on my truck!" At least he was nice and tried to get the mess out of my hair with a Clorox wipe.

Our life will soon be changing so much with the arival of baby Kadence, I just wanted to take a minute to remember where we've been. I am so anxious to see what our future brings! Thanks for letting me ramble!

Where were you??

I just read a good post of one of my friendly bloggers and I decided to steal it. Where were you on September 11Th, 2001? It's easy to forget the feelings I had that day, but while reading her post, they all came rushing back to me! It would be interesting to hear where you all were, and what feelings it brought on, either by your own post, or by leaving me a comment. Here are my memories...
I was a Jr. at Bonneville High, and we were having a early morning Lakette practice. We were in our own world of 8 counts and pirouettes. We must have been getting ready for a football half-time performance, because we wanted to video ourselves doing the routine so that we could fix any mistakes. My friend Jacqueline Keyes (now Miller), went home to grab her video camera. While she was there, she found her family glued to the T.V. in shock. She got a brief rundown of what happened, and hurried back to practice so that she didn't keep us waiting. When she got back, she mentioned something about a plane crashing into a building, but obviously she, nor any of us, understood the weight of the news. We continued with practice until about 9:00 a.m. I just remember leaving the gym that morning, and instantly noticing the looks of worry on everyone's faces. Some of our girlfriends that weren't on the drill team filled us in on the attack. I just remember feeling very confused, because I had never heard of a terrorist before. I went home to be with my family and was horrified when I finally saw the images of the planes crashing into the towers, and people jumping from the buildings! It was a sad and scary day. I can't imagine what the families of the people who worked in the towers must have been going through.

7 months down, 12 weeks to go!!

These are the latest photos of Kadence and I. I am 28 weeks now, and officially in my 3rd trimester, wahoo! I am feeling pretty good, just feel huge! We have had a couple of scares in the last month, but no need to worry, I was just being a paranoid momma. The first was when I went to the Emergency Room because I thought I was having a heart attack (really, I'm pretty sure that's what one would feel like), turns out it was just severe heart burn. The second was yesterday, when I went to see my dr. because I thought I was losing amniotic fluid, and I was afraid the baby was going to dry up. It also turned out that it was just a fabulous normality of pregnancy in the 3rd trimester =) Were any of you other moms as much of a hypochondriac as me??? I just want our little one to be safe and sound!

So all is well with Kadence. She weighs about 3 lbs. now, and she is one very active little baby. I wake up almost every night to her practicing kick boxing. It's so fun to feel her moving around all of the time! This is a picture of her face, (if you can't tell). I don't know what the thing to the right of her face is, the dr. said it's just fluid and tissue. I think it looks like she might have big eyes, and I still think she has her daddy's nose. Well we will keep you all updated on the latest and greatest, hopefully no more trips to the dr. than necessary!
